Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain the appearance of floors.
  • Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established protocols.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.

Skills

  • Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to perform floor care tasks effectively, including buffing and maintaining various types of flooring.
  • Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
  • Capability to work independently while also being a team player when required.
  • Good time management skills to ensure all cleaning duties are completed efficiently.
