Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including Level I and Level II trauma centers, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. This position requires a strong commitment to patient well-being and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist nursing staff with daily patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
  • Support patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and equipment.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Level II trauma center experience
  • Hospital medicine
  • Emergency medicine
  • Level I trauma center experience
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Operating Room (OR) experience
  • Geriatrics
  • Medical-surgical units
  • Inpatient care settings
  • Teaching hospital experience
  • Post-acute care experience
  • Outpatient clinic experience
  • Sub-acute care experience
