Position Summary:
Primary Support Role for the Manufacture of Precision Ink Jet Printheads located in Lebanon, NH.
Manufacturing Engineer: Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Job DescriptionKNOWLEDGE
Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review). Level at which career may plateau.
JOB COMPLEXITY
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
SUPERVISION
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.

- Material Review Board support.

- Implementation/Integration of Lean Initiatives to Drive Continuous Improvement.
- Ergonomics / Safety Support.

- Support Introduction of New Products into Manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Experience with structured problem solving methodologies (Cp/CpK, Gage R&R, FMEA, DOE)
- Experience with manual and automated assembly processes
- Well versed in lean concepts with record of accomplishments
- Knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5),Proficient 3D CAD Experience, Solidworks Preferred
- Ability to participate, lead and/or mentor in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of safety and ergonomic practices
- Familiar with industrial engineering concepts (Capacity Planning, Time Study, Simulation, Work Station Dynamics)
- Familiar with financial concepts associated with operations
- Experience in area of tool design
- Experience in clean room protocol.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, in order to effectively present information to co-workers, customers and management.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of statistics to perform capability analysis, measurement system analysis using Minitab mathematical and probability of Distribution analysis.
- Strong researching skills to look for New process, materials and equipment.
- Material selection: well versed in thermal, electrical, chemical and mechanical attributes.
DESIRED:
- Inkjet experience is preferred
- Six Sigma certification
