Spanish Speaking Personal Care Assistant/ Home Health Aide

Caring Connections is a licensed Home Care Service agency providing home care and assistance to seniors and other home-bound individuals, via warm, professionally trained staff who take the needs of your loved ones seriously. We are looking to hire Full-time Home Health Aides that are able to work in Beacon, NY and surrounding areas of Orange County, NY. Having a personal vehicle is preferred and helpful, but not required. Assignments may include working hours shifts per day. Some overnights shifts are also available.

We are actively seeking Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to join our exceptional team. Responsibilities may include:

• Provide personalized care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.

• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.

• Monitor and report changes in clients' health and behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.

• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and supportive relationship.

• Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate records of care provided.

• Scheduling doctor's appointments if requested by the client

• Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have a valid PCA or HHA Certificate.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures

• Experience working with patients in hospice care, memory care, or those with developmental disabilities is a plus

• Ability to lift and move patients safely

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must speak English fluently.

• Must have reliable transportation to commute to clients' homes.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are highly preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality caregiving.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience using phone device to clock in an out for work shifts and assignments
