JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervisorial and shop responsibilities. Enforcement of company policy and procedures.

**Position is second shift**

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lead, train and coach manufacturing staff to ensure requirements are met for production and employee safety.
  • Organize shift work, track and report daily metrics
  • Investigating and initiating work on daily rate and indirect studies
  • Perform manufacturing processes to aid in fulfillment of production timelines and goals
  • Makes sure equipment is properly maintained and/or promptly repaired
  • Look for work practices that are inefficient and implement work practices that will improve efficiency and costs
  • Be able to conduct a 1st piece inspection
  • Have strong problem-solving skills
  • Ensure employees are following company policies and procedures, i.e. break times, cleanup, PPE
  • Perform employee evaluations, interview for hiring, orientations
  • Direct and support criteria set out by management for production purposes
  • Attend daily production turnover meeting
  • Coordinate with 1st or 2nd shift manager on operations of department
  • Responsible for safety and safety assessments in department
  • Attendance is a vital function of this position
  • The ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure production standards, quality specification, customer deliveries and redzone expectations are met.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minamum 3 years in manufacturing related leadership experience preferred
  • High school diploma, equivalent or higher
  • Ability to read, write, spell, and speak English
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to work with numerical calculations
  • Experience working with computers
