Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Per Diem Caregivers (PCA/HHA/CNA) to provide high-quality in-home and community-based care to clients with diverse needs. This role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those in assisted living or nursing home settings, and possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Knowledge of medical terminology, EMR/EHR systems, and caregiving best practices is highly valued. This position emphasizes professionalism, confidentiality, and a genuine desire to support clients' independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols
  • Document patient care activities accurately using EMR/EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Support patients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning to maintain a safe environment
  • Assist with hospice care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care as needed
  • Support patients during transfers using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts
  • Maintain professional communication with healthcare teams regarding patient progress and needs
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all caregiving activities

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease is advantageous
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and medical terminology required
  • Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and medication administration preferred
  • Knowledge of hospice care practices and long-term care procedures is a plus
  • CPR certification required; additional certifications such as PCA/HHA or MA CNA are highly desirable
  • Experience working with diverse populations including seniors and people with disabilities is beneficial

This position offers flexible scheduling options suitable for those seeking per diem work while providing essential support to individuals in need of compassionate caregiving.

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
