Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dry Van Commercial Driver's License A Team Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have experience with route driving, load and unload procedures, and possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations. This position offers an opportunity to work with various types of trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
  • Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at multiple locations
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, routes, and vehicle maintenance reports
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues that arise during transit
  • Assist with handling various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or other specialized cargo as required
  • Follow route driving best practices to optimize fuel efficiency and safety during long-haul or local deliveries

Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record
  • Experience operating tractor-trailers in freight delivery environments, including route driving and load & unload procedures
  • Familiarity with manual transmission trucks preferred
  • Experience with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks is a plus
  • Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as a CDL A Team Driver
  • Prior experience in freight delivery or commercial driving roles preferred but not required

This position is essential for maintaining efficient logistics operations while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.
