Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Sewe systems and related infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of various technical skills and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. As a Water Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our water services.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair water lines and related systems.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and other machinery as needed.
  • Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation.
  • Perform cabling tasks for water system connections.
  • Execute fiber splicing for communication systems related to water management.
  • Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues within water systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills

  • Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including backhoe and loader operation.
  • Experience with utility locating techniques.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems relevant to water infrastructure.
  • Ability to perform cabling tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with fiber splicing methods is a plus.
  • Strong welding skills for repairs and installations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in various outdoor environments.
