Essential Function: The Teller is responsible for conducting financial transactions in an accurate, timely and professional manner. The role is also responsible for the sales and servicing of all credit union products, while focusing on building trusted relationships with our members by providing solutions that guide them toward financial success.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintain a high level of member service in accordance with Tech Credit Union's Core Values, Mission and Vision.
- Responsible for processing member transactions in a proficient and accurate manner within security guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of confidentiality about member account information.
- Ability to speak with members in an informative, knowledgeable, and helpful manner about Tech Credit Union products and services.
- Handles member's concerns in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Responsible for making follow-up member service calls after new accounts are created.
- Complies with the credit union's check cashing, cash control and transaction approval limit policies in accordance with Reg CC, SAR, CTR, Check handling, Reg D, BSA, Red Flags, OFAC and other regulatory compliance laws.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Teller and the credit union.

- Communication, interpersonal and human relation skills needed to interact with the membership in a professional environment.
- Listening skills with the ability to measure member requests and needs.
- Ability to proactively problem-solve by demonstrating concern and empathy while seeking a solution that is in the best interest of the member and the credit union.
- Knowledge of Tech Credit Union's products and services.
- Proficient cash handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programs
The Teller III should have a thorough knowledge of Class 1 and 2 and after 18 months will be able to perform the additional following tasks:
- Account Problems - Demonstrate the Ability to Research
- Assist with training of new/existing tellers as required
- ATM Stocking and Balancing
- Branch Supplies - Order and Stock
- Business Correspondence
- Certificates of Deposit - Issue and Process
- Check for Completion of Duties on the teller line
- Keep Manager Informed of Breaks and Lunches
- Open and Close the Branch
- Responsible for Office Keys
- Safe Deposit Box Billing and Maintenance
- Safe Deposit Boxes - Open and Close
- Vault Responsibilities
- Other Duties as Assigned by Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- Basic Keyboarding Skills
- One year of retail sales and/or cash handling experience or equivalent experience within a financial institution or related field.
Satisfactory Completion (score at least 85 or above) of Level I & Level II
Service Expectations:Must meet the goals set by the Board of Directors and the Management Staff of Tech Credit Union
