Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and industrial electrical work, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints, and ensure compliance with NEC standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring expertise in low and high voltage systems, utilizing a wide range of hand and power tools.

Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment on construction sites or industrial facilities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
  • Perform maintenance on low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with safety standards.
  • Use hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, and power tools for installation and repair tasks.
  • Measure electrical parameters using instruments like ohmmeters and ammeters to diagnose issues effectively.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC regulations and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, including frame carpenters and other trades, to coordinate project tasks.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and document work performed for project records.

Skills

  • Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment effectively.
  • Familiarity with NEC standards and safety regulations related to electrical work.
  • Construction site experience is preferred for understanding project workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring adherence to safety protocols. This position offers the opportunity to apply your electrical expertise across diverse projects while maintaining high safety standards in a professional environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $30.27 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
