Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supporting the management team in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service while fostering a positive environment for staff and guests alike. Previous experience in quick service, casual dining, or fine dining settings is highly valued, along with expertise in restaurant management systems such TOAST POS.

Duties

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts.
  • Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as TOAST.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations across all areas of the restaurant.
  • Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks, and resolving operational issues promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and maintaining profitability through efficient resource management.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training to develop a high-performing team.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that promotes excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management on food production, catering events, banquets, and special functions such as weddings or corporate gatherings.

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or casual dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing staff training & development programs.
  • Ability to manage inventory control effectively while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Skilled in shift management, scheduling, interviewing potential staff members, and team development.
  • Familiarity with food industry regulations, health codes, and safety procedures.
  • Experience with culinary operations such as catering is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
