Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience through effective sales techniques and maintaining a well-organized checkout area. Candidates must have experience and speck english.

Duties

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
  • Upsell products and services by effectively communicating promotions and special offers to customers.
  • Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Supervise and assist with stocking shelves as needed to ensure product availability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Utilize retail math skills to manage cash drawers and balance at the end of shifts.
  • Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a cashier or retail position is preferred but not required.
  • Strong sales skills with a proven ability to upsell products effectively.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Experience supervising others is a plus but not mandatory.
