This is a two-year residential research and teaching fellowship welcoming of early-career scholars from a broad range of social backgrounds, including those under-represented in academia. The fellowship is designed to help expand the breadth of scholars hired into tenure-track positions by providing valuable experience, skills, and mentorship. Faculty Fellows teach two undergraduate courses each year relevant to their scholarly interests and experience, conduct research and scholarship, and receive professional development support from the Department of Neuroscience & Behavior, Barnard College, and Columbia University. The Barnard College (early-career) Faculty Fellow program is a two-year residential fellowship welcoming of early-career scholars from a broad range of social backgrounds, including those under-represented in academia. This complement of extraordinary early-career scholars will play an active role in a vibrant scholarly community and fully participate in the life of their academic home(s) at the college. The fellowship is designed to help expand the breadth of scholars who are hired into tenure-track positions by providing them with the experience, skills, and accomplishments necessary to succeed in the highly competitive application process. For a list of current Faculty Fellows, please seeThe Neuroscience & Behavior Department at Barnard College is home to several active research labs making discoveries on a range of neuroscience topics that focus on different levels of analysis and model systems (fly, rodent, human, computation). Applicants with experience in areas that align with the faculty (), specifically in the areas of vision, learning, and development at the molecular, cellular, systems, cognitive/behavioral or computational level are encouraged to apply.Faculty Fellows teach two undergraduate courses (or their equivalent) relevant to their scholarly interests and experience, conduct research and scholarship, and receive mentoring and professional development support from the Department of Neuroscience & Behavior, Barnard college, and Columbia university.
