Job Description

We seek innovative individuals with a pioneering spirit to contribute to our Ground Solutions and Mission Support Software Integrated Project Team. This role involves supporting development and maintenance of mission operational software product lines and new capability development. The position requires full-time, on-site presence in a Sensitive Compartmented Investigation Facility located in Redondo Beach, CA. Telecommuting is not available.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a C++ software developer in a fast-paced agile team environment utilizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux VMs, servers, and workstations.
• Design, code, and unit test new software capabilities according to Mathematical Algorithm Requirements.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software discrepancies.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and Sr. staff engineers across multiple software subsystems.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 0-2 years of experience, a Master's degree, or a PhD in a STEM discipline. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active SSBI clearance required at the time of application and ability to obtain SCI prior to start.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming and C++ programming.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with DevSecOps and test automation.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages.
• Strong skills in mathematics and algorithms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Agile scrum teams or the Agile process.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite: Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
• Experience developing in a Linux environment using git.
• Active SCI security clearance.

Work Environment
This role is based in a Sensitive Compartmented Investigation Facility in Redondo Beach, CA, and requires full-time, on-site presence. The work shift is the 1st shift, operating on a 9/80A schedule. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required.

This is a Contract position based out of Redondo Beach, California.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $ $55.00/hr.
