The Role (Short Version)
We are looking for a seasoned landscape enhance project manager and sales person to kickstart our adventure into the outdoor plant/landscaping space.
You will be half using our existing leads and half finding your own leads. You will run client meetings, translate ideas into plant-forward concepts and planting palettes, and help turn those concepts into paid projects.
You will be working with a team of people including landscape designers and installation crew to successfully close landscape projects
*MUST HAVE experience working with outdoor plants / landscaping projects
*A Note About Leads and Hustle
We will have someleads that are pre-existing but this job heavily depends on you to initiate on them and you're expected to generate some leads of your own. By sourcing prospects, following up, networking, and moving leads through the funnel. We will train and mentor you on sales technique, estimating, and proposals, but you will drive outreach.
Your Day-Day here:
- Prospecting and networking with potential clients.
- Lead on-site consultations for residential and commercial clients to understand goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Own the sales conversation through to a signed contract, with coaching and resources provided so you are comfortable generating and closing leads.
- Cross-sell indoor plant programs, seasonal maintenance, lighting, hardscapes, and service agreements.
- Coordinate with estimating and installation teams to ensure clean handoffs to the field.
- Manage and grow your sales pipeline and log activity and proposals in our CRM.
- Spend time in the field, including site visits in all kinds of weather and occasional evening or weekend client meetings.
- Long story short: find us landscape clients, SELL on them, and execute project with a team.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Has existing knowledge on outdoor plants on a professional level
- is seasoned in Landscaping sales.
- Preferred to have existing book of business to obtain sales quickly.
- comfortable presenting designs and translating them into scope and pricing, having experience with or ambition for projects ranging from $5,000 to $300,000 and above.
- You have strong knowledge of plant selection, soils, planting design, and site conditions, with native, coastal, or specimen plant knowledge as a plus.
- You are a self-starter who is organized and reliable and keeps your calendar, files, and commitments in order.
- You are calm and collaborative and value a peaceful, steady workplace. You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for Tri-State travel.
- Interest or experience in indoor plant programs is a bonus because we have year-round work.
Hours and Pace
This is a full-time, field-based role. Days vary between client meetings, site visits, and or proposal work. We are practical about hours, but evenings or busy weeks may be required. Flexibility and ownership are important.
