Job Summary
The Manager, Business Operations is responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of the transformation initiatives for the Global Insurance Industry to meet the current and future needs of the organization whilst fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.

Provide strategic, operational, and organizational support to the Global Insurance Leader. Drive end-to-end execution of strategic transformation initiatives, post-merger integration, operating cadences, and executive communications.

The Business Operations Manager acts as a strategic partner and Chief of Staff-type resource to the Global Insurance executive leadership. This role provides operational discipline, drives strategic projects, supports post-merger integrations, manages governance rhythms with direct reports, and prepares executive-level communications and materials. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen, business consulting background, exceptional organizational skills, and experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives in a global, multicultural environment.

Role Purpose

  • Support the Global Insurance Leader in executing strategic priorities and ensuring operational excellence
  • Provide direction, structure, and follow-through to transformation initiatives, including post-merger integration
  • Act as a trusted advisor and coordination hub between leadership, stakeholders, and global teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes and optimizes day-to-day operational activities, including revenue and sales growth, expense, cost and margin control and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management.
  • Leads efforts to develop and improve through efficient and effective integrated processes, implementing common management processes/services to leverage organizational resources.
  • Directs operations review of cost and service structures, productivity measures and delivery methods to achieve planned targets.
  • Manages and oversees the day-to-day operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
  • Supports with development and implementation of a system to track and report on the progress of strategic plan implementation.
  • Ensures that all department heads are fully informed of the operational objectives of the business.
  • Participates in the design and development of operational processes, policies and improvements related to these processes for each department in their domain.
  • Manages and oversees the establishment of performance goals and allocates resources.
  • Ensures that operational activities comply with organizational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations and general duty of care.
  • Participates in acquisition and growth activities that support overall business objectives and plans.
  • Advises the management team and/or department heads on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
  • Facilitates regular meetings with department heads to ensure that operational objectives are achieved.
  • Implements all tactical human resource procedures, managing and leading team(s), setting goals and managing performance accordingly.

Academic Qualifications And Certifications

  • MBA or master's degree in business or related field (optional but valued)

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5-8+ years of experience in business operations, strategy or business consulting, PMO, chief-of-staff roles, or strategic execution roles
  • Experience managing transformation projects and/or post-merger integration
  • Strong program and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Excellent high-quality presentation creation skills (PowerPoint, storytelling, executive reporting)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience in global organizations or distributed teams
  • Experience working directly with C-level or senior executives
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Preferred: background in technology services or insurance
