Overview

The Certified Home Health Aide School offers comprehensive training programs designed to prepare aspiring caregivers for a rewarding career in home health and senior care. Duties

  • Provide direct patient care including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems and document medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with medication administration and manage medical documentation with precision
  • Support patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice needs, and long-term care requirements
  • Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively
  • Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Observe patient conditions closely for any changes or concerns and report findings promptly to supervising healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments to deliver compassionate patient-centered care
  • Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and healthcare regulations during caregiving activities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare certifications are a plus
  • Ability to work compassionately with seniors and individuals requiring memory or dementia care
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a genuine desire to provide quality patient care

This Certified Home Health Aide School prepares students for immediate employment opportunities in home health agencies, assisted living communities.
