Retail Banker

The Retail Banker develops relationships with prospective and existing clients by proactively promoting the bank and its services, opening checking, savings, and electronic accounts and services, providing service via telephone and in person, and performing transactions at the teller line.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Builds trusted relationships with clients through courteous and concerned approach to meeting client needs.
• Opens and closes deposit accounts, electronic products, and installment loans.
• Resolves client problems and complaints with courtesy and discretion and directs clients with difficult problems to other sources for assistance.
• Through a deep understanding of bank products and services, uncovers needs and makes recommendations to clients and prospects.
• Cashes checks, deposits checks and cash into client accounts, and accepts loan payments.
• Executes daily balancing procedures systematically, efficiently, and accurately.
• Assists clients within the safe deposit area. 
• Counts and balances ITM.
• Provides support to Branch Manager to carry out the strategic plan for the branch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or related field

• Two years banking experience

• Stellar customer service skills 

• Excellent communication skills (critical thinking and listening skills) 

• Ability to learn new skills quickly
