We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer – Mechanical, with expertise in industrial Mechanical Engineering, to lead the transformation of a low-volume, manually assembled Packaged Energy Server (PES) to a semi-automated or fully automated build, ready to scale with the world's increasing power demands. This role will report to Director, FIT and Skids and is based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical authority for the mechanical interfaces and design for manufacturing (DFM) of the Bloom Energy PES. Drive the deployment of scalable, cost-effective, and reliable DFM solutions.
- Interface with Product Development (Mechanical/Systems), Compliance, Quality and other organizations to execute PES initiatives that are aligned with business goals.
- Influence and support the full lifecycle of the product from Design Review through Commissioning and Handover.
- Engineer and develop creative solutions to meet current and future customer needs. Prepare all the documentation needed for a smooth and efficient roll-out of the manufacturing solution.
- Be an agent for continuous improvement, as a key member of the product change control process.
- Use mechanical engineering expertise to identify and evaluate product designs for product reliability and serviceability at the point of use.
- Champion the collection, analysis and review of key data/metrics to aid in the development of future product design(s).
Skills and Experience:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field required. Master's degree a plus.
- 2 - 5 years' experience working in a Manufacturing or Industrial Environment
- Experience with DFM, Design of Experiments, Product Lifecycle Development
- Proven proficiency with CAD, Data Analysis and Visualization Software. (e.g. Solidworks, Tableau, JMP, Minitab, MS Office Suite, etc.).
- Familiarity with the Power Generation market.
Physical Requirements (optional):
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

Salary Ranges:$80, $115,600.00-
