About the Role

This position will play a valued and respected role in our practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive primary and acute care to our patients.
  • Triaging of acute and complex patients for attending physicians.
  • Diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Developing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans, writing prescriptions, and coordinating care.
  • Performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
  • Executing essential clinical tasks including phlebotomy, administering IVs, point-of-care testing, and providing vaccinations.
  • Coordinating patient care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Providing patient education and counseling on preventive care and disease management.
  • Leading and mentoring medical assistants, phlebotomists, RNs, and other clinical support staff.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring the patient experience reflects the high-end nature of our practice.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working as a PA in any field of medicine is preferred. Exceptional recent graduates from accredited programs are also encouraged to apply.
  • Education: Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification: Valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Connecticut, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

  • Demonstrated ability to practice independently and as a motivated self-starter.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong clinical skills, including the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (Athena is preferred).
  • Positive, confident, engaging, empathetic, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or potential.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 per year
