The Robin's Nest Childcare Center is looking for an Infant Lead Teacher who can help maintain a fun, positive environment and incorporate nature-based activities that assist in our children's development. You will be responsible for monitoring and guiding the children in our program, developing a curriculum that the children will respond to positively, and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment at our school.

We are a nature-based, eco-friendly, state-certified childcare center that creates opportunities for autonomy, trust, & self-regulation in a home-like environment for our community's youngest members.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for a teacher who is nurturing, loves to play with children and is dependable. Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds. Must have the ability to independently manage small groups of children in a learning environment; lesson plan and carry out curriculum activities. Must have effective communication abilities and be able to guide other staff in the basic care of infants and communicate clearly with parents for optimal partnership.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience in early childhood education in a certified daycare or preschool is preferred. Higher Education is preferred; Early Childhood Education and Human Development and Family Studies are preferred fields of study.

-Must be enrolled in the Central Background Registry (or be able to enroll within 30 days of hire)

-Must obtain First Aid and CPR Certification and Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire

-Must obtain Child Abuse and Neglect training, Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety, and Safe Sleep Training within 30 days of hire
