As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. You will be visible throughout the campus, respond to incidents, perform routine checks, and deliver excellent customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist in the enforcement of campus rules and regulations as directed by site leadership.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, and any unusual conditions observed during patrols.
• Collaborate with campus staff and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and any interactions related to security-related matters.
• Provide visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and/or escalate concerns as needed within the educational setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
