Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of safety and efficiency, while also contributing to a positive work environment. You'll be hands-on, tackling various maintenance tasks that keep our operations running seamlessly.

What you'll do

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for diagnostics and repairs
  • Conduct welding tasks to repair or fabricate components as needed
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot effectively
  • Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting and general upkeep
  • Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Lead and supervise maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols

Basic qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles
  • Proficient in electrical systems with the ability to use tools such as an ohmmeter for testing
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience to guide team efforts effectively
  • Customer service skills to interact positively with staff and stakeholders
