About The Role
The Family Law Attorney will represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, enforcement actions, and modifications. You will play a vital role in guiding clients through some of the most stressful and emotionally challenging periods of their lives. Compassion, professionalism, and clear communication are essential qualities for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law proceedings in district courts throughout North Texas.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop strong, persuasive legal arguments.
  • Advise clients on legal strategies, risks, and potential outcomes.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients during mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff within the firm.
  • Engage with mental health professionals, custody evaluators, and other experts involved in family law cases.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards, ethical obligations, and firm procedures.
  • Utilize technology effectively, including case management systems and digital communication tools.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to client matters and timekeeping.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Active Texas law license in good standing.
  • 5–10 years of family law experience.
  • Substantial courtroom experience with the ability to handle a case from start to finish.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage emotionally charged situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Commitment to serving families with compassion and integrity.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with mental health professionals and experts involved in family law matters.
  • Comfort with legal technology and a willingness to adopt new tools and processes.
