In-House Crypto Regulatory Counsel

Latitude is working with a leading, publicly-traded cryptocurrency company to identify a collaborative, creative attorney to serve as regulatory counsel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services regulation related to trading and/or banking and, ideally, nascent cryptocurrency regulation. The successful attorney will play an important role in helping define the operations of the cryptocurrency market and in the success of the company. This role may be based in either Atlanta (Alpharetta) or New York City.

Requirements For The In-House Cryptocurrency Regulatory Counsel

• 4+ years of legal experience (ideally a mix of corporate law firm and in-house, but attorneys with only law firm experience will also be considered)
• Deep experience with financial services regulation (trading, banking, crypto) at the federal and state level
• Confidence and ability to interact effectively with internal clients, regulators and company customers
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and persuade
• Ability to work under short deadlines and outside normal working hours with minimal advance notice and minimal supervision; self-sufficient and independent
• Licensed to practice law in Georgia or New York or able to qualify for in-house exemption
• Graduate of a well-regarded, ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance
• Outstanding professional references

Position Details Of The In-House Cryptocurrency Regulatory Counsel

• Type of role: In-House Counsel - Permanent
• Schedule: Full-time
• Location: Hybrid In-Office (Atlanta or New York City)

Compensation
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $170,000 to $210,000 or more of base salary as well as an annual cash bonus and annual equity incentive. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, and credentials.

Benefits: In addition to pay, the full benefits will be available, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans and generous leave policies.
