JOB DESCRIPTION

Vital Planet is seeking an experienced outside brokerage firm to represent our brand and manage accounts in the Northern California area. The brokerage firm would be responsible for executing all promotional sales strategies and revenue growth initiatives required to meet and exceed the territory's financial targets. The brokerage firm is also responsible for analyzing their territory to identify business opportunities and areas of weaknesses; then act accordingly to improve the sell-in and sell-thru of our Vital Planet products.

JOB FUNCTIONS


•      Responsible for achieving territory's gross and net sales goals while adhering to all corporate budgetary guidelines


•      Work directly with both key independent and chain retailers on strategy, planning as well as educating retailers on the benefits of the brand


•      Responsible for achieving revenue and product/program/promotional launch goals within territory


•      Responsible for regular reporting on chain and key Indy's performance, as well as the territory's overall strengths and weaknesses


•      Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans for assigned chain and Key Indy accounts


•      Manage the execution of annual promotional and new product calendars for both our Independent and Chain accounts


•      Work closely with Marketing Department to ensure all sales programs receive adequate support and in-store marketing tools


•      Support the company's AEP and education programs by promoting their benefits and rewards to store employees and sales staff, and by planning and supporting consumer and retailer educational events within the territory.


•      Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer feedback and provide insights to the management and product teams


•      Work closely with Western Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Director to ensure all in-store plans and merchandising needs are executed properly


•      Work closely and cohesively with Inside Sales Rep to achieve the same company goals including promotional targets set for the territory


•      Attend industry tradeshows which may require weekend hours if necessary

REQUIREMENTS


• years Outside Sales Experience


•      Strong verbal communication skills


•      Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on leveraging existing relationships in the natural channel


•      Regular and consistent call cycle adherence to ensure call frequency and success


•      Able to manage time effectively and efficiently


•      Intermediate computer skills


•      Broker or Broker(s) must live in the Northern California area


•      Background in Natural Product industry and/or Organic Health and Nutrition with emphasis placed on brokerage firms with established relationships in the Natural Product Industry

Job Type: Contract commission based pay

Job Location: Northern California, including San Francisco Bay area, Sacramento, San Jose, Fresno etc.
