Position Title: Catering Sous Chef- Corporate Dining 

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000

As a Catering Sous Chef for Restaurant Associates at Morgan Stanley, you will support the successful culinary operations, focusing on catered events. This position works Monday through Friday with flexible shifts beginning as early as 7am and closing as late as 8:30pm. Shifts are scheduled based on operational events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team hourly cooks and porters
• Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus, ordering, and preparing and cooking various items
• Execute outstanding culinary services daily
• Ensure the operation is in compliance with all culinary related health and safety standards
• Be a part of our hospitality centric culture, building client and employee relationships at each interaction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
• Catering experience a plus
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
• Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities
• ServSafe certified - highly desirable
