As a
Financial Support Specialist
, you'll help ensure a smooth and positive financial experience for students by assisting with financial aid processing, student advising, compliance documentation, and record management. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues who are committed to your professional development and success. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, tech-savvy, and ready to grow within the field of financial aid and higher education administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the
    Student Support Center
    by maintaining accurate financial records and responding to student inquiries.
  • Assist with
    financial aid assessment and processing
    , including reviewing applications and monitoring eligibility.
  • Provide
    one-on-one guidance
    to students regarding aid eligibility, documentation, and funding options.
  • Help maintain
    compliance and documentation
    , verifying records and assisting with audit preparation.
  • Manage and update student financial data within the college's information systems (e.g., CampusCafe).
  • Serve as a
    first point of contact
    for financial aid questions via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Support the preparation of reports, communications, and other departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in banking, higher education, or financial services preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a willingness to learn financial and student information systems.
  • Comfortable with technology and data entry; eager to build knowledge of financial aid regulations (Title IV, state, institutional).
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a
    supportive team environment

  • Must live within commuting distance of
    Boynton Beach, FL
    .
  • On-site position
    (not remote); may require occasional flexible hours, including weekends.

Current hours of employment are 10am-6:30pm.
