What you will have an opportunity to do:

Join our award-winning team at Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, a Curio Collection by Hilton, where every property offers a uniquely curated guest experience. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team in a 327-room hotel featuring two full-service restaurants, open-air bar, spa, fitness center and pool, coffee shop and more than 60,000 sq. ft. of conference and event space. This role is essential in ensuring our guests experience exceptional comfort, cleanliness, and excellence in service throughout their stay.

Position Overview

As the Director of Housekeeping, you will oversee all housekeeping operations to maintain impeccable cleanliness, superior service, and consistent product quality across a large, high-volume hotel and conference center. You will lead departmental strategy, support financial performance, and cultivate a strong, engaged team committed to delivering the elevated standards expected at Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, a Curio Collection by Hilton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and product quality in 327 guest rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and 60,000+ sq. ft. of meeting, banquet, and conference center space, ensuring compliance with all health, sanitation, and Curio Brand Standards.
  • Lead and manage all housekeeping operations, manage department budget, strategize with forecasting, inventory control, purchasing, systems management, and policy implementation.
  • Participate actively in property leadership meetings to support hotel-wide operational goals.
  • Drive team member performance through coaching, supervision, evaluations, scheduling, and recognition programs.
  • Recruit, interview, train, and onboard team members to support a high-performing and service-focused housekeeping team.
  • Ensure safe and proper handling, usage, and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including staff training and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Property Operations and other departments on room refreshes, deep cleaning programs, and capital improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of housekeeping management experience in a full-service hotel (luxury or upscale brand experience preferred).
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage large teams within high-occupancy, high-meeting-volume environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with housekeeping systems, inventory processes, and scheduling software.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as operational needs require.
  • Leader with high expectations and detail oriented.
