The Regional Manager of Public Infrastructure is a leadership opportunity to grow and shape Cannon's Public Infrastructure operations across Southern California, from our West Los Angeles or Irvine offices. Reporting to the Director of Public Infrastructure, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of transportation, stormwater, and municipal infrastructure projects, lead and mentor engineering teams, and drive business development efforts with agencies and clients such as cities, counties, regional transportation authorities.

REGIONAL MANAGER OF PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE JOB DUTIES

  • Lead, grow, and mentor Cannon's Public Infrastructure team across LA County, Orange County and Inland Empire.
  • Manage, coach, and evaluate staff to support professional development and team performance.
  • Maintain and expand strong client relationships with cities and counties, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct business development activities, prepare and deliver proposals and presentations, and secure new opportunities.
  • Project management for multiple civil engineering Public Infrastructure projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring budgets, schedules, and quality standards are met.
  • Perform project management for the design of transportation projects (including, but not limited to, active transportation and complete streets, roadway and intersection widening, street rehabilitation, and streetscape improvements) and stormwater projects (storm drain design, hydrology and hydraulics, and water quality BMPs).
  • Ensure QA/QC processes are followed to maintain high standards of technical excellence.
  • Direct and mentor project engineers and design engineers, serving as a technical resource and leader.
  • Represent Cannon with professionalism and integrity in all client, agency, and community interactions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
  • California Civil Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive civil engineering experience in Public Infrastructure.
  • At least 10 years of project management experience delivering Public Infrastructure projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing engineering teams and direct reports.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong network and established relationships with Southern California agencies and municipalities.
  • Proven track record of managing a wide variety of simple to complex projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering within budget.
