Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of various medical practices, including pediatrics, medical-surgical, and ICU care. Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Manage nursing staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to nurses in various specialties, including neonatal ventilator care and toddler care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills in areas such as medical imaging and occupational health.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Address patient concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction with nursing services.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and departmental operations.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license with supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in nurse management practices and the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Experience in pediatrics, medical-surgical, ICU, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
