Position Summary
The Social Services Transportation Coordinator coordinates student transportation for medical, mental health, school, and extracurricular appointments. This role involves, but not limited to, scheduling rides, maintaining records, communicating with service providers and schools, and ensuring students are safely and promptly transported. The Coordinator also coordinates student schedules, supports documentation needs, handles transportation-related purchase orders, and may accompany students to appointments.

- Schedule and coordinate transportation for students to attend medical, mental health, school and programming-related activities
- Provide logistical support and reminders to students regarding upcoming appointments and documentation needs
- Communicate with healthcare providers, schools, third party transportation services and county transportation providers to confirm transportation details, address changes or issues
- Maintain accurate records of appointments and transportation logs
- Monitor and resolve transportation issues in real time
- Manage purchase orders and receipts for transportation requests
- Coordinate the transportation for student extracurricular activities
- Maintain the student weekly schedules and Department Clearance Sheet
- If needed, accompany students to community partner appointments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Must be 26 years or older to be able to drive our youth
- At least 1–2 years of experience working with youth or in a case management or social services role
- Detail-oriented and efficient in managing documentation, coordinating schedules, appointment reminders, and clearance processes
- Experience maintaining accurate records, logs, and managing administrative tasks such as purchase orders and receipts
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with youth, as well as providers
- Reliable transportation and willingness to accompany students to appointments
Work Schedule
Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 AM- 5:30 PM
Note: Later hours may be required as needed to fulfill other duties. There are some evening and/or weekend programs requiring all staff attendance. If required, this would be known well in advance. All staff are required to attend the retreat for the full retreat period (3 days).
