Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing patient care and within our medical facility. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed & dependable to enhancing the patient experience while ensuring efficient operations within the clinic setting.

Duties

  • Room patients and assist them with shoes and socks.
  • Perform intake assessments, including obtaining vital signs and chief complaint.
  • Clean and stock rooms
  • Minimal iPad usage for recording vitals.
  • Unwrap wound dressings from surgeries, amputations, ulcers. MUST be ok with drainage, infection smells, and blood.
  • Clean tools , package, and place in autoclave for sterilizing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.

Skills

  • Proficiency in EHR systems for effective documentation and patient management.
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to Podiatry is a plus. but not necessary.
  • Experience in healthcare environments preferred.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including intake procedures, and vital sign assessments.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
