The Preschool Assistant Director supports the overall success of the preschool programs and services by working closely with the Preschool Director and school leadership. He/she assists in overseeing daily preschool operations and provides leadership in academic and non-academic program support, service development, and personnel growth to further the school's mission and long-term goals. Additionally, he/she helps support the institutional structure, operational procedures, financial sustainability, and future planning of the preschool. In the spirit of community building, he/she fosters collaborative processes that encourage open communication among parents, administrators, and teachers, ensuring all community members feel welcomed, respected, and valued.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Assists in overseeing daily operations of the preschool.
  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of institutional policies and procedures.
  • Helps ensure the school and staff remain in compliance with early childhood laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Facilitates preparation for and participation in parent-teacher communications and conferences.
  • Collaborates with the Head of School (HOS) and Owner in developing and updating school policies.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Preschool, Head of School, and administrative leadership.
  • Supports accountability for the Preschool budget in alignment with whole-school and organizational goals.
  • Represents the Preschool at community fairs and on-site information sessions and open houses.
  • Supports retention strategies and assists with student recruitment and enrollment growth.
  • Helps promote a positive and welcoming image of the school to current and prospective families.

We offer the following paid days off for the for school year which ends July 31st:

* 5 sick days (10 sick days in the whole year)

* 5 personal days (10 PTO days in the year)

* May 24-27 off

*Juneteenth

*Independence day

*Summer break July 20-31st

Work Location: In person

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3, $4,000.00 per month
