About the Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor works closely with the housekeeping leadership team to build and guide a strong, results-driven staff. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a diverse team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assign daily tasks for housekeeping staff (room attendants, public area attendants, and housemen), ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Lead by example through regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to guarantee compliance with Hyatt brand standards.
  • Address guest concerns regarding housekeeping services with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Coordinate with other departments (front desk, maintenance, etc.) to fulfill guest requests, special needs, and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and linen; order or requisition as needed.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping activities and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and Hyatt policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year hotel experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and walk moderate distances
