I&M Machine and Fabrication Corp is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in programming and operating CNC's. Candidate should be detailed oriented, responsible for precision machine work, reading blueprints, perform set-ups, programing and operational functions on CNC lathe and mill.
 
Duties/Responsibilities
-Ability to read process sheets and blueprints of job to determine machining operations, dimensional specifications, set up, and first part verification process.
-Programming machine to cut specific parts and runs.
-Efficient use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.)
-Mounting, installing, aligning, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and work-pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
-Calculating machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts
-Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specification using operation certification knowledge
-Experience in how to evaluate, diagnoses, troubleshoot systems and perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
-Fundamental knowledge of metal cutting and machining practices
-Works with team to increase quality and productivity of CNC processes
-Any other duties as assigned.
 
Required Skills
-Mill machining experience
-Live tooling experience 
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
-Excellent mathematical and computer skills.
-Fanuc and Mastercam experience is a plus
