Hiring Certified Medical Assistants for Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York

Shift: 8-hour b/w 7 am - 6 pm

Schedule:_ 5 days*8 hours_

Required:

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • High School Diploma
  • BLS - AHA
  • 2+ years of experience as a certified medical assistant.

Duties:

  • Perform venepuncture, EKGs, assist in patient care (e.g., walking, dressing), collect/process specimens, and prepare for exams.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, take vital signs, and provide patient/family instructions handle patient calls and information.
  • Fulfil clerical duties, including managing medical records, lab reports, and ensuring charts are complete using EMR or manual systems.
  • Enter orders into EMR, prepare prescription refill requests, and manage medical supplies inventory.
  • Set up examination rooms, ensure instruments are sterilized, and maintain medication refrigeration and sterilization logs.
  • Dispose of expired medications/supplies per policy and maintain a safe, compliant work environment, adhering to legal regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining medical charts, schedule surgeries/procedures, and perform proficient phlebotomy duties as needed.
  • Handle patient appointment scheduling, update demographic/insurance information, verify pre-certifications, and adjust office schedules.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
