Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for our client close to Goodyear, AZ . In this role, the paint technician is responsible for the startup and active monitoring of the Paint Booth System. This is an operational position under the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor.This position offers a great opportunity to work with a leading manufacturing company while advancing your long-term career.

Responsibilities

Perform various Paint operations as assigned by the Leadership Team.

Use provided paint equipment (settings and adjustments) to ensure proper paint application to required materials & inspect paint job in progress for quality problems, such as runs and missed areas.

Perform daily routine maintenance on paint equipment.

Clean paint booth, lights, and change filters as necessary.

Follow job orders according to customer specifications as indicated on daily travelers.

Report production and quality data as indicated in daily travelers to supervisor.

Responsible for paint quality accuracy. Adjust and finish products as necessary using spray cans, etc.

Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

Always maintain an organized work environment, may require inspection by the Leadership Team.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team to support company goals.

Based on proficiency may be required to train in Paint workstations.

Operate hand or power tools to apply paint to door/frame parts.

Handle materials such as metal, poly, glue, etc.

Must be able to push and/or pull carts up to 75 pounds.

Must use and be able to work with required PPE.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

The noise level of the warehouse is moderate to loud.

Based on proficiency could work under heavy to limited supervision.

Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Depending on experience could be required to shadow one or more workstations above. Routine assessments of workstation proficiency are conducted – individual must pass one or more workstations as listed above.

Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions and standard work tickets.

Must possess basic computer skills, basic math skills required, proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.

Must be able to work independently as well as in a group environment.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Must demonstrate basic problem-solving skills.

Good organizational skills related to managing paperwork and time.

Steel toed-Boots required

No drug screening required.

Schedule & Pay

  • Shift: 1st Shift — 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Pay: $18/hr (based on experience; Mandatory overtime)
