Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Estimator to join our commercial, multi-family and specialty team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial/multi-family estimating. This job will require you to work along side our sales team as well as our clients PM's and estimators.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Understanding of architectural plan, specifications as well as Texas and Florida pricing for all low slope and steep slope materials and labor.
  • Utilize software tools such as Acculynx, CompanyCam, and designated estimating platform.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
  • Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, contracts, and changes to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly in commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
  • Proficient in using estimation software.
  • Experience in project management within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Ability to read architectural plans and spec sheets.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for cost control and pricing accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85, $100,000.00 per year
