We are seeking a Sales Support Team Member

Effingham Builders Supply has been supplying building materials to professionals and consumers for over 80 years

The role of the Retail Sales Representative for Effingham Builders Supply is to greet customers with a positive friendly attitude when they walk in to the store and assist them with their needs. Placing special orders for our customers & contractors, (windows, doors, siding, metal, etc.) Calling your customers when the product comes in, setting up of deliveries and answering any of their questions. You will also assist with the stocking of shelves, and minor housekeeping (Dusting, straightening, organizing) of said shelves, and the show room. This role requires attention to detail for inventory accuracy, inventory pricing updates, quality control of onsite custom products and the coaching and training that would be required for this department.

The Retail Sales Representative is RESPONSIBLE for:

  • Addressing the questions, comments and or concerns from all their prospective and current customers on sales related matters
  • Quantifying all leads
  • Consulting with the Retail Sales Manager on projects with special consideration
  • Providing Customer Quotes at the designated per week levels
  • Providing Customer Service support to walk in customers
  • Ordering of materials for customers and contractors
  • Help with year end inventory
  • Support Outside Sales with quotes and orders as needed

The following skills are required in order to be considered for this position:

  • Basic construction understanding
  • Knowledge of building materials
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer literate
  • Window knowledge helpful
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Ability to work as a TEAM
  • Blueprint take off ability a plus.
  • Pay is based off of experience.
