BIM / Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Site Lead

As a BIM/VDC Site Lead, you will be responsible for deploying and managing digital design data on active construction sites. You will serve as the primary interface between model-based design teams (VDC/DDS) and field stakeholders (architects, engineers, contractors, and owners). Your work will ensure that the models used for coordination, quantity tracking, and installation accurately represent current scope and design intent enabling transparent, data-driven construction.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain federated BIM / VDC models for use in construction coordination, installation sequencing, and field verification.
  • Manage model versioning, updates, and change control between design teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings using cloud-based model platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, etc.).
  • Implement structured model workflows for scope alignment, issue tracking, and quality assurance.
  • Interface with the KUNZ DDS team to ensure design data is properly tagged, quantified, and traceable to the project's Product and Process Architecture.
  • Train and support site-based teams on use of models, dashboards, and digital tools for installation and progress tracking.
  • Contribute to development of digital site handover standards, ensuring seamless integration between model-based design and field execution.

Qualifications

  • Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in VDC, BIM coordination, or field technology implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary model sets and coordinate across design and construction teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360), and related platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Navisworks, Dynamo, and Python a plus.
  • Experience in large, complex industrial or data center projects preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
