Job Summary

Kletter Law, a leading Bay Area firm based in San Mateo, CA, specializing in employment and real estate litigation, is seeking a Law Clerk to join our team on a part-time, 25-hour-per-week basis. This is a temporary position offering hands-on experience in litigation, motion practice, and document review with the potential to lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.

Duties

  • Assist attorneys with motion practice and document review.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare case materials.
  • Support discovery and litigation workflows under attorney supervision.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure deadlines and case needs are met.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree, awaiting bar exam or results.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Proven capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work onsite 2–3 days per week in San Mateo, CA.
  • Prior law office or litigation experience is a plus.

About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate awaiting bar exam or results to gain meaningful, practical experience in employment and real estate litigation while contributing directly to active cases. While this is a temporary position, it may lead to a permanent hire depending on performance and firm needs.

Pay range: $27–$30/hour

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
