At Skilled Services LLC we specialize in the contemporary redesign, renewal and construction of commercial and industrial facilities, across a wide range of industries. Skilled Services manages design and construction together instead of developing designs or construction through separate companies as is traditional. This style offers more continuity and support for the client. We are looking for a Safety & Compliance Specialist for our Knoxville, TN office. This is a full time, direct hire role.

Skilled Services Quality Construction is seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Specialist to lead and manage company-wide safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance programs. This position plays a key role in ensuring our construction operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can build relationships at all levels, oversee safety programs across multiple projects, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage safety and compliance programs company-wide.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Deliver/Coordinate employee training, orientations, and toolbox talks.
  • Manage company licenses, permits, and subcontractor/vendor compliance.
  • Track safety performance metrics and report results to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety, compliance, or risk management.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Certifications: CHST, CCP, EM , OSHA 30
