Job Description

Project Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-scope execution.
  • Manage all aspects of
    financials, risks, and dependencies
    throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive
    project plan
    aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the
    Resource Manager
    to plan and allocate project resources effectively.
  • Maintain the
    RAAIDD log
    (Risks, Assumptions, Actions, Issues, Dependencies, and Decisions).
  • Proactively
    escalate issues
    when needed and hold team members accountable for timely mitigation and resolution.
  • Partner with
    Project Accountants
    to track and report financial performance.
  • Manage
    scope changes
    , objectives, requirements, and resource shifts while ensuring compliance with change control policies.
  • Work with the
    Solution Team
    to guide projects through the formal change control process.
  • Coordinate with
    other Project Managers
    to manage inter-project dependencies with minimal impact to delivery.
  • Track and manage
    interdependencies
    and interfaces with related projects.
  • Ensure adherence to
    release management practices
    in collaboration with the Solution Team.
  • Lead the
    Go/No-Go
    process and secure necessary sign-offs.
  • Hold delivery teams accountable for creating and maintaining
    architecture design documents, test plans, deployment plans,
    and
    hypercare support plans
    .

Reporting & Communication

  • Establish and manage
    stakeholder expectations
    through transparent communication.
  • Ensure project-level
    governance
    and provide timely
    status reporting
    to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Keep the
    Portfolio Lead
    and
    Program Manager
    informed of risks, issues, and dependencies, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Execute
    project closeout activities
    , including final communications, documentation updates in Clarity, and retrospectives.
  • Issue communications for
    major changes
    impacting multiple applications and/or stores, both pre- and post-change.

People Leadership

  • Set a clear
    vision and direction
    for the project team.
  • Act as a
    problem solver
    , addressing challenges and removing barriers to progress.
  • Understand team perspectives and
    advocate
    for them when negotiating with stakeholders.

Process, Tools, Standards, and Continuous Improvement

  • Promote adherence to
    process standards, tools, and best practices
    across the project.
  • Encourage
    continuous improvement
    through lessons learned and implementation of best practices.
