Human Resources Manager

Location: National Food & Beverage

Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 10-hour shifts

Position Summary

National Food & Beverage is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. This role partners closely with leadership to strategically manage people as a key business asset, ensuring employee engagement, safety, compliance, and continuous development. The HR Manager oversees recruiting, training, benefits administration, safety programs, employee relations, and payroll while maintaining compliance with state and federal employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Talent Management

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation of new employees.
  • Administer and enforce company policies and HR procedures in alignment with the Employee Handbook.
  • Foster employee engagement through team development, coaching, and motivational initiatives.
  • Support employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, and terminations, ensuring proper documentation and legal compliance.
  • Communicate organizational updates and facility changes to employees.
  • Track attendance, PTO, vacation, and leave balances.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Process weekly payroll accurately using established systems and procedures.
  • Maintain payroll records and manage changes related to compensation, deductions, and benefits.
  • Administer employee benefit programs and serve as the primary resource for employee benefit inquiries.
  • Monitor uniform charges and payroll deductions for accuracy.

Safety & Compliance

  • Implement, maintain, and support all food safety, regulatory, and compliance programs.
  • Administer safety training for all new and current employees and maintain training records.
  • Serve on the Safety Committee, attend meetings, maintain records, and conduct internal safety audits.
  • Oversee all safety initiatives, programs, inspections, and incentive plans.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, state and federal labor laws, and company safety policies.
  • Verify supervisors' adherence to meal/rest break requirements and accurate timekeeping practices.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field — or equivalent HR certification from an accredited institution.
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing, food production, or business leadership environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • HR & Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of state and federal labor laws, payroll processing, OSHA standards, and workplace compliance.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present clear, actionable information to diverse audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Judgment & Decision-Making: Independent decision-making skills with strategic planning capability.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build collaborative working relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Strategic Management: Skilled at translating business objectives into HR strategies and executing multiple priorities effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS systems.

Pay: $90, $100,000.00 per year
