Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener PT in Lexington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to support daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Perform screening procedures for individuals entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or drivers as required by the location's operations.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or suspicious activities as observed during shifts.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
