We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of line cooks and kitchen staff during service
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed
  • Assist in menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management
  • Oversee food handling procedures to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Train new staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant procedures
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor food quality during service and make adjustments as necessary

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings is preferred
  • Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
  • Knowledge of menu planning, catering, and food industry best practices
  • Excellent food handling, safety, and sanitation skills
  • Ability to lead a team effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
  • Experience with food service operations, including serving and food presentation
