JOB SUMMARY: Work associated with this position requires performing general maintenance of retail stores, real estate properties, and Divisional K-VA-T office. Additionally, this position is required to aid in the construction of new stores or remodels, including store decor, placement of equipment in all departments, etc. Assist in resolving maintenance issues in a cost-effective manner. This is a fulltime and hourly position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain operational usage checkout lanes.
  • Maintenance of all store locks and security systems.
  • Maintenance of misting systems.
  • Provide general maintenance of interior and exterior of buildings.
  • Assist in setting and installing store equipment.
  • Provide maintenance, installation and repairs to flooring and ceilings.
  • Visit retail locations, real estate properties, and KVAT Food Stores, Inc. offices, as needed to provide repairs, new installs, and general maintenance.
  • Attend work on-site during normal business hours in the typical work week, as well as additional time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNTIONS:

  • Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Understand and follow confidentiality policy regarding company information as well as personnel information.
  • Other tasks assigned for completion as assigned by Direct Supervisor or Executive Company Official.
  • Utilize time management skills and prioritization to accomplish tasks through management team and associates.
  • Verification, completion, and distribution of vital department reports, management reports, documents, and paperwork via written, verbal, or e-mail to the appropriate individuals as deemed by supervision and/or policy.
  • Complete documentation of activities as required.
  • Follow all safety and security measures and guidelines.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Previous project and/or employee supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Must possess a valid and unrestricted state-issued drivers license.
  • Valid and unrestricted Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is a plus.
  • Previous experience performing operational maintenance in the electrical, construction, and/or maintenance fields.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, as well as applicable knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Ability to assign work, recognize work related needs, and make recommendations to pursue their successful conclusion.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.
  • Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as additional time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.
