  • Contract Type: Travel-to-Hire
  • Shift: Days (Monday–Friday, 0830–1700)
  • Hours/Week: 40 guaranteed
  • Unit: Outpatient Cardiology Clinic
  • Care Setting: Ambulatory
  • Charting System: EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and education across specialty clinics including ACS (LVAD/Cardio Mems), EP, Afib (SCAN), HTN, General Cardiology, and Structural Heart
  • Support procedures such as TAVR, TMVR, LAAO, PFO/ASD closures, angiograms, and septal ablations
  • Perform assessments, medication reconciliation, lab result interpretation, and follow-up care
  • Assist with sterile procedures, dressing changes, and specimen collection (venipuncture, UA, throat swabs)
  • Handle office duties including telephone triage, pharmacy calls, and refill requests
  • Monitor cardiac devices (Zio, Preventis, Bardy) and perform EKGs

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including inpatient cardiac care
  • Must be open to temp-to-perm hire (written confirmation required)
  • Strong background in cardiology and outpatient clinic workflows

Education & Certifications

  • BSN: Not required
  • License: Active RN license (submit-ready)
  • Certifications Required: BLS (AHA)
  • Preferred: ACLS, experience in teaching hospital settings

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in cardiac patient education and post-procedure follow-up
  • Skilled in sterile technique and outpatient procedure support
  • Familiarity with cardiac monitoring equipment and EPIC charting
  • Strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced clinic
