Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and performing basic automotive diagnostics and repairs. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive mechanics and the ability to handle various towing situations with professionalism and efficiency.

Duties

  • Operate tow trucks, including flatbed models, to transport vehicles safely to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of towing equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload vehicles securely while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Provide roadside assistance, including jump-starts, tire changes, and fuel delivery.
  • Diagnose minor automotive issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and vehicle conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to manage expectations and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers to respond promptly to calls for service.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles and tow trucks.
  • Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle class.
  • Familiarity with automotive repair techniques and troubleshooting methods.
  • Excellent conflict management skills to handle customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely when necessary for loading or unloading vehicles.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
